UGC Ph.D. Fellowship 2022-2023. Applications are invited from the teachers of Public/Private Universities, Government/MPO Colleges, and Meritorious Students for ‘UGC Ph.D. Fellowship 2022-
2023 under the following terms and conditions-
UGC Ph.D. Fellowship 2023 – ugc.gov.bd
1. (a) Applicant must be a full-time researcher. No part-time researcher will be considered for the fellowship;
(b) the Total number of fellowships is 55 (Fifty-five). Among them, 25 for Public Universities, 07 for Private Universities, 15 for Government Colleges, 05 for MPO Colleges, and 03 for Meritorious Students;
(c) Applicants who are already admitted into full-time Ph.D. programs in any of the public universities will only be considered for this Fellowship if finally selected;
(d) Allowance of fellowship is Tk. 30,000/- (Thirty thousand) per month (maximum 36 months from the date of joining);
(e) A synopsis of the research proposal highlighting the appropriateness of the research topic, statement of the problem, research gap, objectives, research methodology, and contribution/relevance to national interest must be submitted;
(f) After preliminary selection, applicants/applicants may be asked to present/deliver the research proposal before a Committee formed by the UGC.
2. The application must be submitted in the Prescribed Form of UGC through the proper channel.
3. The fellowship’s prescribed Application form, Information Chart, and Terms and Conditions can be downloaded from the UGC website (http://www.ugc.gov.bd).
4. A pay order/bank draft of Tk. 3,000/- (Three thousand only) to be issued in favor of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh from any branch of Janata Bank Ltd. shall be enclosed with the application form.
5. An incomplete application shall be considered rejected.
6. One set of complete applications and necessary documents shall be submitted to the Director, Research Support and Publication Division, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207 on or before 25-04-2023. A soft copy of the Application Form and Bio-data and Chart doc/docx Information (in only) must be sent to director research@ugc.gov.bd.
