7. A,B, and C started a business jointly with a total amount of Tk28000. A paid Tk 4500 more than B and B paid Taka 7000 less than C. If the company made a profit of Tk 5600 and profit sharing is in proportion to investment, how much profit should C receive?

Solution–

Let, the investment of C be Tk X

the investment of B be Tk (X-7000)

the investment of A be =Tk (X-7000) + 4500

ATQ,X+(X-7000)+ (X-7000) +4500=28000

or,3x+9500=28000

or,3x=37500

X=12500

Now, the Investment ratio of A:B: C=10000:5500:12500

=20:11:25

Hereby, the Profit of C will be Tk(5600*25/56)

Tk 2500 (Ans)

8. A product is made with three components A, B, and C. The ratio of the prices is 4:3:2.After 1 year, the price of A increased by 10%, B increased by 8% and C decreased by 5%. What is the percentage of the total increase?

Let, The price of the three components be

A – Tk400

B Tk 300

and C tk 200

Total amount = (400+300+200)= tk900

After one year,

A will be (400*110%)= tk 440

B will be (300*108%)=324,and

C will be (200*95%)=tk190

Total amount will be =tk (440+324+190)

=tk 954

Now,percentage of total increase =(954-900)/900*100

=6% (Ans)
