1. 16th Assistant Judge Post No.:
- 100 (one hundred) t.
- (The number of posts may decrease or increase as per rules)
2. 16th Assistant Judge Pay Scale:
- Bangladesh Judicial Service Pay Scale including 2016 and other benefits provided as per Govt.
3. 16th Assistant Judge Application Form (BJSC Form I) Filling and Submission:
- A. Date and Time for Filling and Submission of Application Form: 09/02/2023
- b. Last Date and Time for Submission of Application Form: 09/03/2023
- No application will be accepted after the prescribed date and time.
It is advised to finalize the application form with enough time without waiting for the last date and time.

4 16th Assistant Judge Candidate Age:
- Not more than 32 (thirty-two) years as on 01/01/2023
- (Age will be determined as per original certificate of Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination.)
- The application form will not be accepted if the candidate is over age. The affidavit will not be admissible in determining age.
5. Educational Qualification of 16th Assistant Judge Candidate:
(a) Minimum Qualifications: 4 (Four) Years Graduate (Honours) in Law from a recognized University or Graduate in Law or 3 (Three) Years Post Graduate in Law from a recognized foreign University:
Provided that the person shall have obtained a CGPA of the second class or equivalent in Law or Graduate (Honours) in Law or, as the case may be, Post Graduate in Law.
Candidates who have appeared in the said examination can also apply under the conditions mentioned in sub-paragraph (c).
(b) CGPA Evaluation Method: If the result of a candidate is published in CGPA form instead of such category, the scale (eg 4 or 5) mentioned in the certificate issued by the University will be treated as equal to 80% in the conventional marking system. Accordingly, the candidate’s result will be classified as First Class (60% or above), Second Class (45% or above but less than 60%), or Third Class (33% or above but less than 45%). For this purpose the following formula will be followed:
CGPA scale followed by the university (eg 4 or 5) × CGPA obtained = percentile marks obtained
The details in this regard are given in the first chapter, paragraph 2 of the booklet titled “Information, Instructions and Detailed Syllabus” published on the website of the Commission.
In any case, if it is not possible to determine the educational qualification according to the instructions of the said booklet, the commission will take the final decision.
(c) Candidates who have appeared in the examination: Any candidate who has passed the graduation or graduation (honors) in law or post-graduate examination in the field can submit the application form. However, the examination must be completed on or before the last date of submission of the application form.
6. Physical Qualification of 16th Assistant Judge Candidate:
The candidate should be physically fit to perform the duties of the post of Assistant Judge properly. The candidate must appear before the Medical Board constituted by the Department of Health or the nominated Medical Officer for the purpose of verifying and certifying whether there is any physical impairment that prevents him from performing the duties.
The details of the physical qualifications are mentioned in the booklet titled “Information, Detailed Instructions, and Syllabus” published on the website of the Commission in Chapter I, Paragraph No. 20.
8. Nationality of 16th Assistant Judge Candidate:
Candidate must be a citizen of Bangladesh or a Permanent Resident of Bangladesh or Domiciled in Bangladesh. But if the candidate is married or engaged to marry a person who is not a citizen of Bangladesh, then he/she will be considered ineligible.
8. 16th Assistant Judge Removal Order/Resignation Letter/No Objection Letter/Resignation Letter:
No-objection letter signed by the appointing authority/appropriate authority for candidates employed in government offices or local authorities i.e. statutory bodies, autonomous or semi-government bodies, and removal order or resignation letter by the appointing authority for candidates who have been removed from service or have resigned from service Order to be received must be collected.
9. 16th Assistant Judge Exam Pattern and Pass Mark:
16th Assistant Judge Preliminary Exam-
- (A) All the candidates have to appear in the Preliminary Examination in the MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) system of 100 marks.
- There will be a total of 100 MCQs in the exam. Each MCQ will be worth 1 (one) mark.
- However, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each MCQ answered incorrectly.
- All the candidates have to clear the preliminary examination as a pre-qualification to appear in the written examination.
- The minimum pass mark in the preliminary examination is 50.
- In the preliminary examination questions will be asked on General Bengali, General English, Bangladesh and International Affairs, General Mathematics, Daily Science, Intelligence and Law subjects.
- Marks obtained in the preliminary examination shall not be added to the marks obtained in the written or oral examination of a candidate.
- Detailed information regarding this examination is given in the first chapter, paragraph no. 13 of the booklet titled “Information, Instructions and Detailed Syllabus” published on the website of the Commission.
(b) 16th Assistant Judge Written Examination-
- 16th BJS Exam, 2023 will be held in a written exam of 1000 marks.
- Only those candidates who clear the preliminary examination can participate in the written examination.
- A candidate will be considered to have passed the written examination if he gets an average of 50% marks.
- Any candidate who gets less than 30 marks in any subject will be considered failed in the written examination.
- Detailed information in this regard is given in the booklet titled “Information, Instructions and
- Detailed Syllabus” published on the website of the Commission in Chapter I, Paragraph No. 14-17.
(c) 16th Assistant Judge Oral Examination-
- Candidates who have cleared the written test will have to participate in the oral test for 100 marks. The passing Mark of the Oral Test is 50.
- Detailed instructions in this regard are given in paragraph 19 of the booklet titled “Information, Instructions and Detailed Syllabus”.
- Note: Only candidates who qualify for the written test will be given the opportunity to appear in the oral test. As the BJS exam is a competitive exam, obtaining minimum pass marks does not guarantee a recommendation by the commission.
10. 16th Assistant Judge Exam Schedule:
The preliminary examination will be held on 18/03/2023 Preliminary, written, and oral examination centers and detailed schedules will be notified through notices in widely circulated daily newspapers along with the Commission’s website.
11. Application Form for 16th BJS Exam, 2023:
The candidate has to complete the Online Registration process and fee submission by filling out the BJSC Form I prescribed by the Commission through the website of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission www.bjsc.gov.bd.
12. 16th Assistant Judge Exam Fee Payment:
- A. Commencement Date and Time of Exam Fee Payment: 09/02/2023
- b. Last Date & Time for Payment of Exam Fee: 12/03/2023
The examination fee cannot be submitted after the prescribed time.
After successful submission of the application can deposit the registration fee of 1200/= using the teletalk phone number.
16th Assistant Judge Payment Procedure:
First Message
Applicant: Go to the message option of your mobile phone and type BJSC Space User ID (Example: BJSC 220293) and send it to 16222
Teletalk: Teletalk will tell you the name, title, and pin through a message.
Second message
Applicant: Go to your mobile phone message option and type BJSC Space YES Space PIN (Example: BJSC YES 52364847) and send it to 16222
Teletalk:
The e-mail, mobile, and teletalk phone number provided in your application will be notified as ‘transaction completed’.
13. 16th Assistant Judge Admit Card:
The applicant can take a printout of the admit card from the Commission’s website www.bjsc.gov.bd E-Application from 12.00 noon on 14/03/2023 AD by using the User ID.
14. 16th Assistant Judge’s declaration and cancellation of application:
The candidate has to declare in the declaration section of the online application form (BJSC Form I) that all the information provided by the candidate in the application form is correct and true. If the information provided is found to be untrue or false or found to be ineligible or resort to any fraud or corruption or attempts to influence the recruitment process illegally before or after the examination or even after the recruitment at any stage the candidature will be canceled and the commission will not accept the application for any recruitment examination. Actions can be taken against him under the existing criminal laws of the country including disqualification.
15. 16th Assistant Judge Reservation of Right to Change:
The Commission reserves the right to change any matter, information, or conditions mentioned in this notice as necessary. In case of such changes, the matter will be publicized through the website of the commission or a notice published in the daily newspaper, as the case may be.
16. 16th Assistant Judge Special Instructions:
16th BJS exam candidates’ last date for submission of application form is fixed till 09/03/2023 AD 11.59 PM. Any application form that is incomplete or not found to be correct may be rejected. Interested candidates are requested to submit the application form as soon as possible without waiting for the last date for application submission.
